The 4 stations that are being operated today are Uttara-North, Uttara Center, Uttara-South and Pallabi. These stations have been prepared for experimental operation. After the inauguration, the train will start its journey from Uttara-Uttar station. Metrorail depot in Uttara on ground, main line by air. Metro trains are fully electric. 16-18 systems including signal and communication will work in case of running train. The performance test will be followed by the main test movement, known as the ‘Integrated Test’. At this time, it will be seen whether the 16-17 systems are working properly together. All installations, including stations, must be fully prepared for experimental operation. According to DMTCL sources, the integrated test will be conducted from Uttara to Agargaon via Pallabi. This test lasts six months or more May take longer.

The contractor will then formally hand over the trains to Bangladesh. Then the driver hired by Bangladesh will run the train. They have already been trained in their country with driver recruitment.

Under the project, 24 sets of trains (6 coaches per set) are being purchased from Japan. There are already 4 sets of trains stored in Uttara Depot. 1 more set will come from Japan soon. Construction of the remaining train sets is also underway. DMTCL Managing Director MAN Siddique, who is in charge of construction and operation of the Metrorail, told Prothom Alake that there have been several steps between the start of construction of the flyover for the Metrorail and the launch with passengers.
